Duties and responsibilities include marketing, administration, and promotion of company engineering capabilities in yacht and commercial business areas. Additional responsibilities include project management, naval architectural design, and production engineering on various refit and new construction projects as above for private and commercial clients worldwide. Firm specializes in MCA, USCG, and classification society refits of existing vessels, new design, repowering, and performance/stability improvements. Supervise a staff that varies between 1 and 5. Performed over 350 refit and preliminary newbuild design projects to present.

JULY, 2009 TO December, 2014
ENGINEERING MANAGER, Eastern Shipbuilding Group

Duties and responsibilities have included management of Production Engineering Department, interacting with outside design firms, marketing support, and facilities support. Additional duties have included project engineer, and training new employees. Vessels built during this period have been a 280’ RORO/Passenger Ferry, a 160’ open deck car ferry, (2) 140’ fireboats, (14) offshore supply boats from 280-302’, a 192’ factory fishing trawler, (2) 140’ 2-masted schooners, and (10) 90’ river tugs. Supervised a staff that varied from 16-20.

Duties and responsibilities include marketing and promotion of company engineering capabilities in yacht and commercial business areas. Additional responsibilities included project management, naval architectural design, and production engineering on various projects as above for private and government clients. I held a Secret clearance for military projects. Completed approximately 30 projects/year.

Duties and responsibilities included supervision of Engineering Department. Managed the production design of 15 custom motoryachts and sportfishers   ranging in length from 88 to 140 feet, to American Bureau of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, Bureau Veritas, and French Affaires Maritimes rules as well as company standards. Additionally responsible for technical support of all repairs and conversions, preliminary design, and plant maintenance as required. Was responsible for engineering of M/Y Pegasus, which was awarded “Most Distinctive Yacht of the Year 1991” by Showboats Magazine. Supervised a staff of five.
