Dr. Serota has the unique distinction of being triple board certified in dermatology, allergy/asthma/immunology and pediatrics requiring 8 years of training following medical school.

He is considered a national expert in the fields of dermatology and allergy/asthma/immunology. He lectures nationally and has published numerous peer reviewed articles, textbook chapters and reference articles in these areas.

Dr. Serota has served as an expert witness on cases ranging from asthma, allergies, occupational issues/exposures, mold exposures, food allergy, anaphylaxis, rashes, dermatology procedure related injuries, skin cancer/missed skin cancer, abuse related injuries, Stevens Johnson Syndrome/Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, scabies and vaccine related injuries. He has been approved as a medical expert in both state and federal courts including a federal court finding for summary judgement in a landmark case citing his medical expert report primarily.

He graduated medical school at the age of 23. He is licensed to practice medicine in 25 states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, WA, WI, WV, WY. He is willing to travel as necessary.

Dr. Accetta is board certified in allergy and immunology and pediatrics. He began his medical career as a pediatrician in a rural Massachusetts community. After completing his allergy and immunology training at the Cleveland Clinic, he returned to Massachusetts and has worked as an allergist and immunologist in private practice since 1986. In 1991 he founded Allergy & Asthma Care, P.C., in Taunton Massachusetts.

Dr. Accetta is a past president of the New England Society of Allergy and the Massachusetts Allergy and Asthma Society. For nine years he was a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society Committee on Environmental and Occupational Health, including two years as Chairperson of the Committee. He coauthored a chapter on occupational allergy for a major medical textbook on occupational medicine. He also served as the physician member on the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy for nine years.

Dr. Accetta provides consultations and expert medical opinions and testimony for attorneys, insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry.
