In addition to her graduate degrees in Horticulture, she holds an undergraduate degree in Pomology/ Plant Science and two diplomas, one in Forestry and another in Agriculture. For the past 20 years, Dr. Mathers’ has distinguished herself in weed control in horticultural crops and environmental sustainability. She has conducted thousands of herbicide efficacy and phytotoxicity trials, invented five new bio-herbicides, assisted in the registration of eight new herbicides in the US for ornamentals and is a notable national and international speaker and writer.
