Dr. Carl Berkowitz has held various managerial and administrative positions in the transportation industry, government, private and academic sectors. Dr. Berkowitz has extensive multi-modal experience in planning, design, engineering, safety, security, construction, maintenance, operations and management.

Dr. Berkowitz has written and edited numerous reports, studies, articles and columns for major publications, journals, newspapers and scholarly periodicals. Since 2018, Kyle Heer has been involved in the analysis and reconstruction of hundreds of motor vehicle crashes including rollovers, multi-vehicle impacts, motorcycles, heavy trucks and pedestrian impacts throughout the United States. In addition to motor vehicle accidents, Kyle has reconstructed and analyzed a variety of incidents from a biomechanical perspective, which gives him a unique perspective on the cases he investigates. Kyle has substantial experience in analyzing data downloaded from vehicles, incorporating this data along with vehicle-specific parameters and other physical evidence into dynamic vehicle computer simulations to aid in accident reconstruction.
