has over 40 years of professional experience in all aspects of infectious disease epidemiology.
Federal district court qualified as an expert witness in COVID 19 as well as infectious diseases and epidemiology. He has consulted widely with food processors, manufacturers, importers, exporters, retail and foodservice, as well as having served as an expert witness in matters relating to the regulation of food and food borne diseases. He has participated in the epidemiological investigations of numerous outbreaks of food borne diseases including Salmonella, Listeria, Campylobacter E-coli STEC infections including O157:H7 Shigella, involving a wide variety of commodities.
He is the author of numerous journal publications on food sanitation and infectious disease topics and has lectured nationally and internationally at colleges, universities and conferences and on behalf of the United States in trade negotiations involving food safety.
In addition,
Dr. Kramer
has consulted and testified in matters concerning viruses transmitted through blood and blood products (HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B), nosocomial infections, including MRSA and Clostridium difficile, as well as respiratory diseases—ranging from fungal diseases, Legionella and tuberculosis. Another focus has been outbreaks of diseases related to poor sanitation practices; such as, norovirus, salmonella and hepatitis A.
