Following graduation from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1981, Dr. Hilton completed a 3 year Internal Medicine residency at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. After four year with the National Health Service Corps in Zebulon, Georgia, Dr. Hilton completed a three year Cardiology Fellowship at St Louis University Hospital, St Louis, Missouri in 1991.

He is currently a noninvasive board certified cardiologist living in Jacksonville Beach, Florida where he has practiced with the Baptist Heart Specialists (formerly known as the Jacksonville Heart Center) since 1996. Dr. Hilton has 30 years of experience.

Dr. Hilton has been active with CardioStart International, Inc. with whom he has completed over 15 international humanitarian missions to Peru, Nepal and the Caribbean. He has volunteered with the Mission House and Salzbacher Medical Clinics in Jacksonville Beach, Fl. Also, he has served on the boards of the Florida Recovery Schools, Mission House, Inc, and CardioStart International . He has three grown children and is fluent in French.
