Brian Berman's CV

I am a pediatric hematologist with decades of experience at two prominent children's hospitals. Fellowship training at Yale University. Currently in active practice and engaged in a variety of leadership responsibilities (Professor of Pediatrics at medical school). Former Chair, Dept. of Pediatrics at respected Midwestern medical school. Extensive CV (clinical research, administration and education). Experience in case reviews, depositions and testimony. I review cases with a sense integrity and "fair play". I passionately advocate when I believe that the position of the defense or plaintiff is justified and supportable.

I have practiced for many years, in parallel to my hematology practice, as a hospital based physician seeing general pediatric patients referred to a tertiary children's hospital for evaluation and care. Hence, I am available to review complex cases across the spectrum of pediatric medicine.

I am also available to review cases involving adults whose medical issues are more common among children and/or are congenital in nature (i.e. sickle cell disease, genetic disorders etc.)

Specialties: anemia, sickle cell anemia, bleeding disorders, thrombosis, clotting disorders, thrombocytopenia, stroke, neonatal hemorrhage, coagulation disorders, bone marrow failure, thalassemia, newborn screening, pulmonary embolus, newborn jaundice, neonatal hyperbilirubinemia
